As monsoons are close by, we at Hafele thought of coming up with yet another compilation of monsoon recipes that will satisfy your taste buds and, simultaneously, build your immunity.
This time it’s Tea!

Let's see two of the most popular immunity-building and healthy tea recipes you can try out.
Masala Chai
It is a popular hot beverage that originated in India. It perfectly combines with monsoon chills. For most Indians, Masala chai is a kick-start for the day. It is prepared by mixing regular Indian Tea with some aromatic spices to give a flavorsome tea.
It gives a strong flavor and instantly refreshes you. It is a healthy tea that is comforting and refreshing at the same time.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- Sugar as per taste
- 1 teaspoon black tea (any of your preferred brands)
- Milk (as needed)
- Cinnamon
- Green cardamoms
- Cloves
- Ginger
Method
- Take cinnamon, green cardamoms, cloves, and peeled ginger in a mortar-pestle.
- Crush coarsely and set aside.
- Take your Hafele's Dome Opal Kettle to boil water
- Let the water boil, and then add the crushed spices.
- Boil the spices with the water until you get that unique aroma of masala chai.
- Add sugar as per taste. Add the tea powder of your choice.
- This boiling time depends on how strong you want your Tea. If you prefer a strong tea, boil for a few more minutes.

- Add milk as per your taste.
- Bring to a boil and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes
- Your healthy and deliciously aromatic Masala chai is ready. Strain it and sip it.
Tulsi Chai
Tulsi, or Indian Basil, is known to be a holy herb with incredible medicinal benefits.
- It is best for treating sore throat
- It gives relief during infections like cold, cough, and flu
- It has anti-viral and soothing goodness
- It is excellent at improving your immunity with its anti-oxidant properties.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water (if you are making 1 cup of Tea)
- 1 bowl filled with large basil (Tulsi) leaves
- 1 teaspoon black tea leaves/powder
- 1 cup of milk
- Jaggery as per taste
Method
- Take Hafele’s Queen Kettle, add water and set it to boil
- As soon as water starts boiling, add the Tulsi leaves
- Boil for a while
- Add tea powder/leaves and let it simmer until the water gets reduced to 50%
- Add milk.
- Boil for 1-2 minutes more and switch off the power.
The kettle has an LED light switch that indicates if it has been turned off or not.
- Add jaggery, and let it dissolve for about 20-30 seconds.
- Strain and Enjoy hot!
