To ensure that your Diwali celebration this year beats the previous year, Hafele brings you a list of Instagram worthy recipes that you absolutely must try this Diwali:
Baked Rabri Sandesh
Serves 6
Diwali is incomplete without sweets. Here is a traditional sweet dish recipe you must try.
Ingredients for the Sandesh-
- 500ml milk
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp Condensed milk
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
Method to prepare the Sandes-
- Curdle the milk to make chenna. Wash the chenna and Squeeze out all the excess water.
- With the palm of your hand, rub the chenna very well till it’s smooth.
- Add cardamom and condensed milk to this.
- Mix it well and transfer it to a baking dish, and even it out.
Ingredients for the Rabri-
- 250ml milk
- 1 tbsp Milk powder
- 110g Condensed milk
Method to prepare the Rabri-
- Cook everything together for 20 mins or till it thickens completely on medium heat while mixing constantly.
- Pour this over the Sandesh and bake it for 10 mins in your Hafele Oven at 180*C.
- Top the baked rabri Sandesh with almonds, pistachios and dried rose petals, then serve.
Ingredients for the garnishing-
- 1/4 cup gond
- 2 tbsp Almonds chopped
- 2 tbsp Pistachios chopped
- 1 tbsp ghee
Method to prepare the garnishing-
- Pour the ghee over the Gond and dry fruit and give it a good mix.
- Microwave it for 2 mins till the Gond pops.
- Top the baked Sandesh with this and serve.
Spinach and Corn Crepe

Ingredients for the Butter-
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Melted Butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
Method to prepare the crepe-
- Blitz everything together in your Hafele mixer.
- Brush a non-stick pan with some butter (You only have to do this once).
- Pour in the Butter and turn the Butter around to make sure the pan is completely covered.
- Cook on medium heat for 2-4 mins
- Place the ready crepes on a plate dusted with cornflour. And keep dusting the crepe with cornflour while stacking them up together.
Ingredients for the filling-
- 1 tsp Butter
- 5 cup blanched Spinach; chopped
- 1/2 cup corn
- 3/4 cup cream
- 2-3 tsp Milk
- 1/3 cup Cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
Method to prepare the filling-
- Melt butter in a pan and add in all the ingredients.
- Cook till the cheese melts.
- Cut the crepes in half and fill them in with the filling.
- Shape them to form a triangle.
- Serve spinach and corn crepe hot.
Korean Corn Cheese
Serves 4
A simple dip with crackers is the perfect evening snack for all your guests who arrive with the thrilling festive spirit
Ingredients for the dip-
- 1 tin sweet/1.5 cup frozen corn
- 2 tbsp Spring Onion Whites
- 1/2 tsp- 1tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Butter
- 1/3 cup or more Mozzarella Cheese
- 3 tbsp Spring Onion Greens
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
Method to prepare the dip-
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Add the corn, spring onion (whites), salt, pepper, chopped onion, mayonnaise, and sugar and mix well- cook for 2 mins on medium heat.
- Once you can’t smell the onions anymore, sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese and cover the pan.
- Cook for 2 mins on medium heat or till the cheese melts.
- Finish with spring onions and chilli flakes.
- Serve the delicious Korean corn cheese while it's hot and cheesy
